As Christ's vicar, each pastor has the responsibility of providing the pastoral care of the particular Church entrusted to him/her, but at the same time, he/she bears collegially with all his/her brothers and sisters in the episcopacy the solicitude for all the Churches. Though each pastor is the lawful pastor only of the portion of the flock entrusted to his/her care, as a legitimate kingdom leaders he/she is, by divine institution and precept, responsible with the other leaders for the apostolic mission of Christ' Church.
